Important Southern California Community Meeting July 15, 2007

The Southern California chapters of Al-Awda, The Palestine Right to Return Coalition, together with other members of the Fifth Annual International Al-Awda Convention host committee, cordially invite members and supporters of our community to an important meeting.

WHEN: Sunday July 15, 2007 starting at 2 PM

WHERE: 800 S Brookhurst St, Office 2E, Anaheim, CA 92804

PURPOSE

We are pleased to report that, by a decisive vote of Al-Awda's chapter and action committee representatives, the Sixth Annual International Al-Awda Convention will be held in Southern California in 2008 to build on the resounding success of the fifth convention.

The upcoming sixth Al-Awda convention is especially important as it falls on the sixtieth anniversary of Al-Nakba. This is a critical juncture in Palestinian history, with its resilient resistance to the continuing escalation of attacks on the struggle for the return.

Our aim is to have the largest Al-Awda convention to date to mark a rededication in the shatat (exile) for the struggle to return, and to continue to develop our unswerving support for our sisters and brothers in our homeland.

The Sunday July 15 meeting is being called in order to begin developing the organizing plan for the upcoming convention. Members and supporters of our community, individuals and organizational representatives, are cordially invited to take part.
